Jun 18th - Buxton Report Complete
The City of Clinton has completed an initial retail site assessment and received a report from Buxton.
The purpose of these analyses is to develop Clinton’s customer profile. The Customer
Profile is a snapshot of the customers that reside in Clinton’s trade area. Even though these
consumers are complex and diverse, by using a variety of databases Buxton is able to
capture and catalogue the extent to which potential demand for retailer’s goods and
services are concentrated in the trade area.
By overlaying Clinton’s Customer Profile with over 4,500 retail matching profiles in
Buxton’s proprietary database we are able to identify major categories of retail that are
candidates for location in Clinton. This matching provides the basis for determining
Clinton’s viability to attract retailers and restaurants and forms the basis for Buxton’s
assessment. Click here to see the report.
