The City of Clinton will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public comment on the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s (IEPA) Preliminary Environmental Impacts Determination (PEID) and the City’s Project Plan for the Water System Improvements Project (the “Project”). The Project includes construction of a new water tower, water treatment plant and supply well upgrades, water main replacement, and water tower demolition. The Project is proposed to be funded with loans from the IEPA Public Water Supply Loan Program. The Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. CST at Clinton City Hall, 118 W. Washington Street, Clinton, IL 61727.

 

The Project Summary and PEID provided by the IEPA are available for public inspection at any time on the city website at clintonillinois.com or during regular business hours at Clinton City Hall, 118 W. Washington Street, Clinton, IL 61727.

 

Any person wishing to comment on the PEID for the Project is welcome to attend the Public Hearing. Written comments may be provided to the City of Clinton or directly to the IEPA by March 7, 2025, to either of the following: Steve Lobb, Department of Public Works, City of Clinton, 118 W. This Notice is to provide access to the documents and notification of the scheduled Public Hearing to satisfy Section 662.330 of the Illinois Procedures for Issuing Loans from the Public Water Supply Loan Program of the IEPA.
