he Clinton Tree Commission hosted a Welcome Our New Trees event on Sunday, October 5 at Countryside Apartments.
In a presentation by commission chairman John Baker, an audience of kids and adults learned about the variety of trees that will be planted at the complex in November with grant funds.
Commission member (and retired teacher) Annette McMath brought several fun art projects for kids. Clinton Mayor Helen Michelassi attended the festivities and helped with the art projects. A similar event is scheduled in early November at Webster Apartments where additional trees will be planted.
