Beginning Thursday, May 14, 2026, the elevator at City Hall will be temporarily out of service as work begins on the elevator modernization project.
We understand this may be an inconvenience and appreciate your patience as these improvements are completed. With water bills due on Friday, May 15th, accommodations will be available for anyone unable to use the stairs. Please contact the Water Department at 217-935-3432 or City Hall at 217-935-9438, and a staff member will gladly meet you to assist with bill payment.
City staff will also be happy to assist anyone needing help for day to day business at City Hall or the Water Department during this time. Please contact us if you need assistance, and we will be glad to help.
