Reliable city services are a cornerstone of any successful community. Clinton’s Fire Department, led by the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, is just that kind of entity. Our department staff includes: Fire Chief Jeff Hoke and Assistant Fire Chief Stephen Page, provide their leadership and oversee the employment of three full-time engineers, and 37 paid on call firefighters.

Committed to public safety, the Fire Department tries to carry 42 workers on its roster. Our fire district includes not only Clinton, but surrounding areas such as Clinton Lake and the Nuclear Power Plant.

The department is equipped with five Thermal Imaging cameras, two Jaws-of-Life, three fire engines, one ladder tower truck, one tender truck and one support vehicle.  The district is contracted to the City of Clinton, which is 95 square miles.  The property of Exelon is also contracted to the City of Clinton.
