Clinton Fire & Police Commission offers full testing services for the position of Police Officer through National Testing Network (NTN). To register with NTN and schedule a test, go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select ‘Find Jobs’, then select Law Enforcement Jobs and sign up for Clinton Police Department.

When you visit the www.nationaltestingnetwork.com website:

  • Complete the NTN registration process and schedule your test.
    • Review all information related to the Clinton Police Department Police officer, including minimum requirements, salary, and benefits.
  • Review detailed information about the testing process.
  • Review the Frequently Asked Questions and take an online practice test (if desired).

Upon completion of your scheduled exam, scores are automatically forwarded to Clinton Fire & Police Commission. Candidates who attain a passing score on the entry level exam will be placed on Clinton Police Department’s eligibility list.  Clinton Fire & Police Commission will contact candidates on the list and will invite them to participate in further stages of the selection process.

National Testing Network is a service provided to conduct entry level testing in a standardized, professional environment. National Testing Network does not replace the Clinton Fire & Police Commission’s responsibility and decision making in the testing process.  All candidate results are provided to Clinton Fire & Police Commission where the final decisions are made.

Welcome Lowers 2014to the Clinton Police Department. My name is Ben Lowers and it is my honor and privilege to serve as your Chief of Police. The men and women who comprise this department are committed to delivering honest, impartial and ethical law enforcement services to our residents and all who visit our community. We currently serve a population of 7,500 people and are patrolling a community that is 4.8 square miles in size.

The Clinton Police Department prides itself for the contribution we make towards improving the quality of life in Clinton. This is accomplished by providing a full spectrum of law enforcement programs and services. The department has a uniform Patrol Division, Investigations Division, Bike patrol, K-9 Unit, D.A.R.E., School Resource Officer and Proactive Unit.  We are also a member of Task Force 6, a multi-jurisdictional drug enforcement unit consisting of local, county, state and federal agencies throughout DeWitt and McLean counties.
